Biography

Beatriz Whitehill is a Puerto Rican-American multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the resilience of diasporic communities through hidden imagery and layered storytelling. She combines traditional painting techniques with animation, three-dimensional installations, and elements of street art and fashion to create immersive, inclusive worlds. Inspired by magical realism and her Puerto Rican heritage, Beatriz often incorporates cultural symbols like vejigante masks to reflect on inner strength and multigenerational narratives. She holds a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, mentors at Artists for Humanity, and serves as a community liaison at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston.
