Boston’s Latin Quarter stretches from Hyde Square to Jackson Square, with Centre Street running through the middle of the district.
The neighborhood has strong Afro-Latin roots and continues to serve as a place where residents, artists, local businesses, families and visitors come together through culture, food, music, public art, events and community life.

Boston’s Latin Quarter is a recognized cultural district with deep community roots and an ongoing connection to Hyde Square Task Force.
Cultural District Recognition
Boston’s Latin Quarter was designated by Boston city councilors in 2016. In 2018, the district was recognized as an official Massachusetts Cultural District.
