Biography
Bosede Ajibola Opetubo is a sister. artist. human. mother. who only recently stepped into her identity as a professional artist after a 10 year career in non-profit fundraising and sales. She first established a regular studio practice, inconveniently enough, after the birth of her son in 2021. A mixed media artist, much of her work is expressed through collage and drawing, often in combination with site-specific installation and digital manipulation.
Artist Contribution
Bosede was a Core Team member behind "An Ode to Africa in the Americas," a community mural project led by Roberto Chao, commissioned by Roxbury Community College and installed in 2023. She is also the founder of For Sanity’s Sake, a recorded, virtual and live creativity circle for mothers and caregivers, which and hosts free artmaking events throughout Greater Boston.
